As most of you know I basically spend 90% of my free-time playing video games when I'm not in front of a monitor doing design. From Grand Theft Auto 5, The Witcher III: Wild Hunt, Dying Light and even some new "Early Release" games like ARK: Survival Evolved — I tend stay up-to-date with the newest games to keep my imagination and creativity churning.

This game, at its core, is a survival game. You can hunt, build, fight, tame animals (and even poop on them) all in order to survive or die. But there's one catch — the island is inhabited by dinosaurs... TONS OF THEM. You get dropped butt-naked on an island with a micro-chip embedded in your arm. What do you do? What do you eat/drink/wear/live? — the list goes on. Set to be finalized and released in June of 2016, ARK: Survival Evolved is quickly gaining a lot of traction in the online community. It's a blast to run around this massive open-world with friends, all trying to gather materials to build fires, walls, foundations, farmland for crops and even functioning irrigation systems.

You can just sit back and watch the gorgeous waterfalls and the awesome Stegosaurus eating his brunch, but you will die. Or you could build a fire and sit next to it and watch the sunset... but you will die. You have to maintain a close-eye on your hydration level, hunger, stamina and oxygen just to get around. (I didn't even mention that you have to keep warm, or cold, if the elements deem it necessary.) This game plays on the fantasy of Jurassic Park, but with the realism of, "OH SHIT I'M ON AN ISLAND WITH DINOSAURS. WTF DO I DO?!"

If you are looking for a fun, action-packed new game with tons to offer, I suggest you give this a try. It's available on Steam for around $20 and you can find me and other friends playing nightly. If you'd like to play with us, send me a message via Facebook and we'll tame the T-Rex like our name is Alan Grant.

Oh, and this...

Occasionally you can find me live-streaming this game, and many others at my site. Check it out here:
